Hosea 4:6 Teaching Ministry is the product of the interest shown in Christian beliefs and doctrines by persons that have lapsed from the faith or are seeking to reestablish their relationship with God. The number of Christians that are unchurched is increasing as people leave the church and organized religion for a variety of reasons. A number of them, later in life feel the desire to fill the spiritual void in their life by connecting with God.
Another purpose of the ministry is to address one of the greatest problems in the church today, which is biblical illiteracy. Many Christians today are ignorant of the teachings of Scripture, and of the basic doctrines of the faith. They lack a proper Christian worldview, and as such are lacking the wisdom and truth that is necessary for guiding their lives through all of the world’s trials and tribulations.
In the Book of Acts the Holy Spirit sends a disciple of Christ, Phillip, to assist an Ethiopian eunuch who was in his chariot on the road to Gaza. The eunuch was reading a passage from the book of Isaiah when Phillip approached him and asked if he understood what he was reading. The eunuch replied that he was unable to understand without the help of someone to guide him. This story demonstrates the need that people have in reading the Scriptures, especially for those who are not part of a church ministry that has pastors and teachers to assist them. This is the mission of this ministry—To come along side those in need and to help them to understand the proper reading of the Bible. Without a proper guide, many who lack biblical discernment will fall victim to false teachers and errant interpretations such as the Prosperity Gospel, the Emergent Gospel, and the heresy of Universalism.
