(Matt. 28:19-20)
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
In obedience to command of Jesus in His Great Commission to make disciples of all nations and to teach them, this ministry presents teaching materials for this purpose. The Reading the Bible series are lessons pertaining to various books, genres, literature, and sections of the Bible. The material has been researched, prepared, and interpreted for the beginner, seeker, or other person who has little to no knowledge of the faith. This is to fill the gap that exists for people who have no church home and/or have no mentor to teach them. As the membership in the Christian churches continues to decline, this gap increases requiring more parachurch ministries to help fill it.
These lessons have diminished as much as possible the complex terms, ideas, and language of Christian teachings. However, a balance must be maintained between being overly simple and remaining interesting for the average reader. Also, the reach of this website is global so consideration for those who are not fluent in English is given. These issues should be kept in mind by the reader so as not to be discouraged if they find the material to be too elementary or too difficult. The goal is to create students of the Bible where reading becomes a daily habit. Tools are recommended to assist in the study and reading of scripture. Simple and inexpensive aids such as a study bible, a dictionary, and a simple guide to the books of the Bible can be easily found. For those in countries where Christianity is persecuted or forbidden, these items can be found on the internet for free. There are several free Christian websites on the internet that offer these resources such Bible Hub, Bible Gateway, Bible Study Tools.com, and Blue Letter Bible. The resources and lessons of this ministry are free and available for anyone to enjoy. May it encourage reading of God’s word and understanding of the faith.
